Every "Topic Map Application" (ontology) definition must define:
- In addition, for Subject Identity Properties, the following must
be defined :
- A comparison algorithm that takes two values of the property
as input, and returns a decision as to whether the values
identify the same subject.
- If the decision is "yes", the merging of reifiers is
licensed and required. If "no", the merging of reifiers is
neither licensed nor prevented from being licensed. It can
still be licensed and required by other SIPs of the same
reifiers.
