Disclosures of TMAs engender more topic maps
- Any information resource, corpus, etc. can be provided with any
number of topic map views (topic maps), by anyone.
- Such views have intrinsic value, but they also are ready to be
"encompassed" in any number of ways.
- Topic Map Application Disclosures (ontologies) facilitate the
effective merging of information resources by allowing such mergings
to be based on explicit understandings of their world-views.
- The transparency of the disclosures also facilitates the
pointing of the finger of blame. When semantic integration goes
awry, it is vital to be able to point the finger of blame.
- A Topic Map Application Disclosure says, "Here is a bag of
magic tricks that are useful for maintaining the illusion of
subject reifier uniqueness. Use it at your own risk."
