Undertook a web service and consultancy project development assignment defining requirements for data archiving services for households. Participated in specification of web service functionality, environmental assessment of competition, and the articulation of best practices and project marketing plan.
Director of Finance and Administration, National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (2001-2002)
Ensured that all finance functions, including activity within numerous Federal cooperative agreements, met legal, contractual and professional standards, and that office and human resource functions met the needs of the entire NACCRRA staff.
Management Analyst/Consultant, Bradson Corporation (1999-2000)
Bradson provides Federal agencies financial management and other managerial consulting services. Initial duties included responsibility for business development and provision of guidance to business development team members. Served as a project manager for a Department of Interior engagement that evaluated Bureau of Land Management policy related to transportation management. Also, managed an engagement at the Department of Justice assessing organizational capability and systems development requirements in the Office of the Comptroller.
Managing Director, American Road and Transportation Builders Association (1993-1999)
Managed the primary division of a federated national trade association, representing contractor participants in the federal-aid transportation construction industry. Additionally, served as Executive Director of an affiliated chapter of the national association representing metropolitan Washington, D.C.-based contracting firms and suppliers, which under my first full year of management in 1997 achieved more than 40 percent growth in membership. Managed an endorsed business insurance program generating premium volume approaching nine figures in six years since program’s inception. Responsible for numerous safety-related association functions, including service as project manager for the National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse, which is financed in part by the Federal Highway Administration. Served as the project manager responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development of a construction safety management manual, which has been commended by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Additionally, served as the Managing Director of two vendor divisions of the association and as a member of ARTBA’s government relations team, which conducts direct Congressional lobbying on behalf of industry, primarily related to the reauthorization of multiple-year surface transportation legislation and to the annual appropriations financing authorized programs. Served as a liaison between the industry and relevant government agencies on issues such as innovative contracting practices and quality. Represented the transportation construction industry in numerous public policy forums.

Line manager fully responsible for operations and financial management of a national trade association. Additional duties included managing an endorsed insurance program providing furniture warehousemen’s liability insurance.

Employed as an accountant and tax examiner. Maintained the general ledger for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Urban Development Action Grants program.
